Hello FB Friends. This coming 4th Friday, my exhibition of veteran heroes and stories will open at Burgwin-Wright House & Gardens. This exhibit features photographs and stories of 20 veterans who have contributed significantly to our freedom and our way of life. I will post more information on some of the other veterans in the coming days.
Please stop by to meet many of these heroes. One such hero from the Vietnam era, Billy Turner, will be with us in spirit only. Billy was an expert marksman, responsible for saving more than 25 soldiers and protecting soldiers who were fatally injured. He was a lovely man with a wonderful sense of humor. He leaves with me, memories of him singing, “Charlie, Charlie….” when I walked in the house to visit with him. Come to meet his family and learn more about his story.
