I do so good for awhile posting on time and keeping up and then I fail. I have been working on some amazing (imo) Halloween posts that I kinda forgot to post my normal fall posts. I miss you already Cali. And all the friends and family you have living there. It was such a wonderful time. It was so full of activity it felt long and short of a visit at the same time. I know I didn’t get to see everyone I wanted to but such is these short spurts. Can’t wait til my next trip back. Hopefully it will be longer.

California is on my mind. Trying to decide on another trip coming up, in SoCal this time. But my mind is playing tricks on me that won’t let me book the ticket. I have talked to my therapist on it and I know it is just me getting in my own way. One hand I think it will be super fun, the other hand I think I will leave feeling not included. Which is silly because I was clearly invited. But man do my insecurities get the best of me sometimes. I just left SF Bay area where I feel so welcome and at home. I miss it already. And, it’s hard for me to feel that feeling with newer people. I always think - why would they want to be around me? Anyway... Do I stay or do I go now.... :-P

Sometimes clients ask for help with their outfit choices. If you know me you may question my fashion sense but I will tell you honestly what looks good and what does not. I photograph a lot of younger kids. I mean I get seniors too. But doing family sessions with older kids is a different beast all together. Sessions with little kids just lend themselves to fun and whimsy. But there isn’t always the whimsy part with older kids depending on their state of mind for photos. But man this family came out swinging with fun and whimsy and I ate it up. It’s important to keep the fun no matter what age you are in photos.

It feels weird to post Chicago land photos when I’m in California. But if you check out my stories you’ll get all my California love. I can’t believe I leave in just over 25 hours. It’s a short trip but I feel like I’ve packed in so much quality time with what I can. I love it here and I probably always will. Everyone keeps asking where I want to go that I miss. And really it’s the people that make it for me. ❤️.
