First round of images from the inaugural Northern Lights and Sirens Girls Fire Camp are up!

Friends- I am pleased to present the first set of images from the inaugural Lights And Sirens Girls Fire Camp.
This incredible event was the brain child of two of the most capable women I know. Both of them are dedicated public safety professionals; both of them firefighters with The Anchorage Fire Department- Meghan McClain and Emily Tyrrell. Of course it was a team effort for sure- but Meghan & Emily had a vision and this weekend- they made it happen.
It was 2 FULL days of inspiring and empowering young females from around Alaska- who were courageous enough to try something new. In the following set of images you will see brave hearts, strong bodies, courage, determination, dedication, exploration, leadership, mentorship, stewardship and the full range of what it means to give all you've got- and then dig a little deeper and go farther.
There will be more images in the coming days. Also- these images on Facebook are low resolution and are NOT intended to be printed. (Please don't try to print pics from Facebook!)

I will provide the high resolution images to parents, participants and volunteers on my website in the next few days.
Thank you to everyone who made this weekend one of the most special, and surely a life changing event in the lives of these young girls. (and in mine!)

Gratitude:
Sometimes during the process of creating an image, I am stopped right in my tracks. This happened yesterday as I was working through images from Syd + Zach's recent mountain elopement.
Syd is simply stunning, and this image of her took my breath away. She is a timeless beauty!
I am grateful to my clients for trusting me.
Each of you are what allows me to express my style, as I create art to be shared with generations to come.

Black and white in these images gives them an air of magic I think. The flowy pants and gazing ball matched up beautifully for a Gypsy feel at the end of our session. What vibe are you feeling here? I am a total sucker for flower farms! Especially dahlias!.and pick up trucks full of buckets, full of flowers..and big fluffy orange tabby cats who pretend they don't want to be held..and good company..and good wine..great food!.beautiful scenery.
Okay, okay.. I could go on and on about all the things within this event that have me swooning.
