SCA Conference Baseball Coverage

It was a bright, sunny afternoon in Mountain Grove as the Panthers faced the Salem Tigers in SCA baseball action.

The Panthers broke the game open in the second inning, scoring nine runs, highlighted by a grand slam home run. They kept the momentum going in the third inning by adding three more runs.

Sees the Moment Photography was there to cover Eli Golden, who delivered a strong performance on the mound and also contributed offensively by scoring two runs.

Willow Springs Middle School Baseball Coverage

On another beautiful day in the Missouri Ozarks, the Willow Springs Bears Middle School baseball team traveled to face the Liberty Eagles.

Sees the Moment Photography was there to cover Willow Springs players Hayden Compton and Mookie Jackson.

Liberty came away with the win by the 10-run rule.

Panther Softball Game Coverage

Yesterday, Sees the Moment Photography was present in Mountain Grove to provide coverage of the Panther’s softball team during their game against Mansfield. The focus of the coverage was on Aubrey Owens, who played center field for the Panthers.

The matchup between the Panthers and Mansfield was closely contested, with Mansfield ultimately securing the win after seven innings.

Yesterday was a beautiful day at Mountain Grove as both the Varsity and Junior High girls’ softball teams faced off against Norwood.

Sees the Moment Photography was present, capturing moments from both games. Lyla Golden was featured in the varsity matchup, while Maggi Golden was highlighted in the Junior High game.

The opening game was a dramatic battle, with Norwood at one point holding a six-run advantage. However, the Panthers continued to fight back, ultimately securing a comeback victory.

The game ended with Mountain Grove winning 12-11, thanks to a run scored on a wild pitch in the bottom of the seventh inning.

The second game showcased Mountain Grove’s dominance, as they won by the 10-run rule in the bottom of the third inning.

A Great Evening for Baseball

It was a beautiful evening for baseball, with clear skies, plenty of sunshine, and pleasantly cool temperatures setting the stage for an enjoyable event.

The Licking 7th-8th grade baseball team made their way to Willow Springs for a lively and competitive game. Both teams were eager and energetic, making for an exciting matchup.

Capturing Prom Memories

Yesterday marked Prom day for many students in the area, and I was honored to have the opportunity to photograph Kenna Roth of Mountain Grove.

The session took place at a picturesque lakeside location, where the skies, which had been cloudy earlier in the day, cleared by the afternoon. Although the weather remained cool, it provided an excellent atmosphere for the photoshoot.

Missouri Ozarks: Nature at Our Doorstep

We are experiencing a brief resurgence of winter weather in the Missouri Ozarks, with temperatures dipping into the low 20s and light snow gently falling. The cold snap has transformed the landscape and created a serene winter atmosphere.

Nature is especially prevalent in this area, making its presence known on a regular basis. We have bird feeders set up on our deck, and it's a delight to watch the wide variety of birds that visit. They come right up to our picture window to feed, providing us with a wonderful, year-round show of avian activity.

This morning brought a special event. For the first time, I saw a Cooper’s Hawk on our deck. As soon as it appeared, all the songbirds vanished, likely seeking safety. The hawk remained perched there for about ten minutes before it eventually flew away. I managed to capture an image of the hawk through our window to remember the moment.

From the South Prong of the Jacks Fork River, the beauty and vitality of the Ozarks continue to inspire and captivate us each day.

Snowy Day in the Missouri Ozarks

It is a very cold and snowy Saturday here in the Missouri Ozarks. The temperature is just eight degrees, with an inch of snow already on the ground and forecasts calling for a foot more to fall tonight and tomorrow.

Mother Nature never ceases to amaze, especially in how birds seem attuned to incoming weather fronts. Over the last couple of days, activity around our bird feeders has noticeably increased. Today alone, I have refilled the feeders three times to keep up with the demand. In addition to food, we provide a heated bird bath so the birds can access fresh water even in freezing conditions.

Our area along the South Prong of the Jacks Fork River is host to a diverse group of birds wintering here. Cardinals, Purple Finches, Gold Finches, and Woodpeckers are among the many species making their home nearby during these cold months. Here are a few images of the birds visiting our feeders.
