JJ and Sophia.

I’ve photographed a lot of weddings, but this one came with unusually high emotional stakes for me.

My nephew married the love of his life, and somewhere between the vows, the laughter, and everyone pretending they weren’t crying, they became a family story we’ll be telling for a very long time.

A perfect day, two remarkable people, and a room full of folks who felt lucky to witness it.

I took the photos but memories pretty much handled themselves. 🥹

Anywayyyyy….

David and Elizabeth are one of those couples that immediately make you go:
“ohhhh okay so you two actually LIKE each other.”

Very relaxed. Very easy.
Very “we probably handled conflict maturely on the drive here.”

Couldn’t be me.

They have this calm energy together where nothing feels forced. No weird awkward posing. No fake laughing. Just naturally existing and somehow looking like they belong in a boot commercial.

The horse also understood the assignment immediately.
Honestly one of the strongest performers of the evening.

The dog, meanwhile, had the energy of a small ranch manager making sure nobody was acting unprofessional.

David brought an alarming amount of cowboy energy to this shoot.
Elizabeth somehow looked gorgeous from literally every angle, which felt unnecessary but okay.

And the lighting??
Completely inappropriate.
Golden hour needs to relax.

Anyway I spent this entire session third-wheeling a healthy relationship while pretending I was there to work.

10/10 experience.
