‼️ Important announcement ‼️
Since this news came out, people have asked, "What are you going to do?'
So this post comes with knowing that I may lose clients or I may gain clients.
And I have put a lot of thought and prayer into this. I cannot even fathom why anyone has to think about this or why our government would protect anything to do with child sexual abuse material.
I am a Christian based photographer. I stand strong in my faith, I pray, I read my bible, and I go to church. I know the world can be ugly, but I also know it can be beautiful. I know there is evil, but I also know there is so much good. I do not want my clients, nor myself, to live with a spirit of fear with everything the news throws at all of us.
I believe we are called to protect our children, to use wisdom, and to be mindful of the world we live in. But I also believe we are called to live by faith, not fear.
I do understand other photographers perspectives on this and I do understand that evil is very real. We should never be careless with what God has gifted us with. However, I don't want us to become so fearful of what MIGHT happen that we forget to celebrate God's greatest gifts.
Families and children are beautiful and deserve to be documented. Whether it's a mother snuggling her newborn baby, a dad giving his son a piggy-back ride, or a family in their Sunday best, they are all beautiful parts of our stories.
I believe we can be wise without being fearful. I believe we can protect our children without hiding them, We can acknowledge darkness without allowing it to decide how we live.
With all of that being said, I will continue to run my business as I always have. I have and ALWAYS will ask if people want photos from their session shared. I am ALWAYS okay if someone says no, I have and will forever 100% respect my clients. I adore all of my clients and am so grateful for every single one of you 🩷
And I will continue praying for our world 🩷
