There’s something magical about the moon. 🌕✨

Quiet, timeless, and always changing, it has a way of making us slow down and look up.

I captured this beautiful moon recently, and I couldn’t resist sharing it. There’s so much detail in its surface—craters, shadows, and textures that remind us just how incredible the night sky really is.

Photography gives me the opportunity to stop for a moment and appreciate the beauty that is all around us, even when it’s millions of miles away. 🌙

Sometimes, all you need to do is look up. ❤️

# # A Session That Meant So Much 🐐❤️

One of my recent sessions was such a special experience. I had the opportunity to photograph a wonderful woman who has created a sanctuary on her property and cares for so many animals. In total, I photographed around **30 animals** during our session!

There were so many personalities, expressions, and little moments to capture. I truly enjoyed every minute of it, and I was so happy to hear how pleased she was with her photographs. We ended up with around **200 beautiful images** from her session.

But the best part of this story is what happened next. ❤️

My client had received a flyer from the **Humane Society for Inland Mendocino County in Ukiah** about my complimentary photography sessions for families who adopt a new animal from the shelter. When a family adopts, they receive a complimentary session with me so they can have beautiful photographs of their newest furry family member.

She contacted me to schedule her session—and after seeing the work I did with her animals, she asked if she could hire me for another session.

**Of course, I said yes!** 🐾📸

And now, the exciting news is that she is becoming an ongoing client. I have another session with her this Wednesday, and I am looking forward to spending more time photographing the animals she loves so much.

Because she has spent years helping rescue animals, I wanted to do something special for her in return. I offered her **complimentary sessions for life**.

Being able to give back to someone who has dedicated so much of her life to helping animals makes my heart happy. ❤️

This is exactly why animal photography is so meaningful to me. I don't just love taking photographs of animals—I love the stories behind them, the people who care for them, and the connections that come from capturing these moments.

Sometimes, photography brings you a client.

Sometimes, it brings you a friendship.

And sometimes, it gives you the opportunity to give back to someone who has already given so much. 🐾❤️

I am incredibly grateful for this experience and excited to see where this new photography journey takes us.

# # # A Little Adventure

Today, I went out on another little photography adventure—and this beautiful horse was one of the special moments I found along the way. 🐴📸

There’s something I love about simply getting in the car, exploring the countryside, and seeing what catches my eye. Sometimes you don’t have a plan… you just follow the road and let the day unfold.

The golden fields, the mountains in the distance, and this beautiful horse standing quietly behind the fence made me stop and take a moment.

Not every photograph comes from a planned session. Sometimes the best photographs come from simply **being curious and going on an adventure.** ❤️

There’s something magical about Glass Beach in Fort Bragg.

What was once discarded glass has been shaped by the ocean into smooth, frosted treasures scattered among the stones. Every time I visit, I’m reminded how time and nature can transform something broken into something beautiful.

I love getting in close and capturing the textures — the earthy tones of the rocks mixed with the soft glow of sea glass. It’s like nature’s mosaic at my feet.

Beauty is everywhere… sometimes you just have to look down. 🤍
