Life has pulled me in a lot of different directions as of lately. It feels like I'm finally filtering through the consequences of what I've chosen for myself. The opportunities to create with other minds has been wonderful. The guidance I've found myself seeking has been enlightening. The cost in which it's taken for me to get here has been a journey, a lot in which I've struggled and continue to do so. But like the water, I don't let the weight of it pull me down. I am always learning to let the current guide me. The illusion of sinking, when one is just swimming about, suspended in the water.
Here is a monologue at the end of a really good song that made an impression on me long ago, that feels relevant to the concept of this shoot and what it means to me;
"It was never really a battle for me to win, it was an eternal dance
And like a dance, the more rigid I became, the harder it got
The more I cursed my clumsy footsteps, the more I struggled
So I got older and I learned to relax
And I learned to soften and that dance got easier
