To all my awesome customers, it's with mixed emotions that I'm retiring at the end of this year and am no longer taking in cameras for repair. Sad to end 44 years in business, but excited to have time to do all those things that I've not had time to do! Give me a call if you need something repaired as I have two GREAT camera shops I'm referring my customers to. They'll treat you right!
Looking forward to the next chapter!! Vinny

A revised version of the Mamiya C220, the Mamiya C220 Prfessional F was released in 1982. As part of the Mamiya C series of TLR cameras, this model follows suit with the use of interchangeable lenses which is fairly uncommon with TLR models. While seeing many improvements over the earlier C220 model, some of the key changes were in the back door locking mechanism which now had its own k**b with a two step opening process to ensure film is not exposed accidentally mid roll. The multi-exposure switch now surrounds the advance dial which allows for easier control of exposures while shooting. The bright waist level finder makes composition a breeze and focusing easier than ever, especially when using the flip up magnifier.

Interested in trying this camera out for yourself? Great! It is now listed on our eBay store which can be found at the top of the shop page on our website! (link in bio)

Released in 1986, the Canon T90 was the top of the line “T” series camera. The design of this camera should be very familiar as it was the first to feature curved edges and a smooth design as compared to the hard edges on previous models like the T80. This design was later adopted by the digital cameras across many brands.

With three metering systems, eight options for autoexposure, and two for manual exposure this camera is perfect for any style of shooting. With the ability to shoot both single shot and three steps of continuous shooting (low, medium, and high) this camera was perfect for both slower shooters and sports photographers with a maximum shooting speed of about 4.5 frames/second.

Pairing the camera with a sharp FD lens made the camera nearly perfect for any shooting condition and shooting style.

Have you ever shot on the Canon T90? What is your favorite 35mm camera? Let us know in the comments!

As the mouthful of the name ,Stereflektoskop, suggests this is a stereo camera with a waist level reflex finder.
In production from 1914-1937 with a slight overlap of the previous stereo cameras made by Voigtlander, the Stereophotoskop (1905-1926), these models saw various upgrades over their production time.
The pictured camera is the third version in this run, with production starting in 1929 and carrying through to the end of production in 1937. Paired with three 60mm/4.5 Heliar lenses and stereo-compur shutters this camera was a full metal body with an upgraded finder to feature wire folding finder frame for quick on the go shooting while still maintaining the sharp waist level finder.
With third party options for different backs for various film types this camera was great for capturing stereoscopic images.

Have you ever shot on a stereo camera? Have you ever seen or used this Voigtlander model? Tell us your thoughts on stereoscopic photography!

A Canon New F-1 paired with a FDn 35-105/3.5 macro lens? Sign us up! The New F-1 is one of our favorites here at the shop. An incredibly reliable camera released in 1981 to replace the original Canon F-1 as the premiere 35mm SLR in their line up. Being a nearly fully customizable system with interchangeable focusing screens, prisms with various functions, motor drives, and back options this camera is just about perfect for any shooting condition. With the ability to shoot in full manual modes, as well as aperture priority (AE mode), and shutter priority through the use of prism options this camera allows both pros and amateur shooters to pick up this camera and capture beautiful shots.

Paired with the FDn 35-105/3.5 macro, also released in 1981, this kit becomes perfect for all different types of shooting. A surprisingly sharp lens for zooms of its time this lens delivers a very good range which allows for landscape, portrait, and some minor telephoto shooting. The ability to switch the lens into macro mode means that getting up close and personal with your subject is a breeze and you can also capture some wonderful macro shots.

Over the span of its 11 year production time, the Canon Canonet GIII sold over 1.2 million units worldwide. A popular camera for shooters of all experience levels, the GIII was the culmination of a decade of Canonet models all coming together to deliver a camera that anybody could pick up.
Easy to use auto systems allowed people who never shot film to pick up the camera and start shooting and the big bright rangefinder made focusing easy as well. Professionals also would use the camera as a back up, or for travel. Delivering very sharp photos with use of its 40mm F/1.7 lens this camera was still small enough to fit in a pocket or small carrying bag.

The first auto focus lens to hit the market, Canon released the FD 35-70/4 AF in the summer of 1979 and it hit the ground running. With a large price tag, this lens’ user base was somewhat limited but pro shooters couldn’t get their hands on one of these fast enough. Using Canon’s “SST”, solid state triangulation focusing method made special for this lens, allowed shooters to take any FD body and turn it into an autofocus system. Keeping the sensors all self contained in the lens allowed the focus to be very fast and accurate but it does have its down sides. The lens is very heavy and fairly bulky, but the benefits received made that more than worth it to sports and wildlife photographers.

You can also see the start of the off-white pro lenses from canon which is now synonymous with the 70-200 L and 100-400 L series lenses.

Do you prefer manual or autofocus? Did you ever shoot on this lens when it was released? Tell us about your experiences in the comments below!

The Pentax Spotmatic SP is one of those staples of 35mm photography that hit the ground running. Released in 1964, this was one of the very first SLR’s that featured the later very popular TTL (through the lens) metering system which allowed used to easily achieve even exposures in their shots without the need of an external light meter. A very popular camera with professional shooters of the time as it was extremely reliable due to being fully mechanical other than the light meter.
A full series of M-42 thread mount lenses could be paired with this camera as well to deliver some of the sharpest images of its time.
The photographer kit includes the less common black body Spotmatic SP and the extremely sharp takumar 50/1.4 with radiated coatings.

Have you ever shot on the Pentax SP? What were your experiences with this model? Have you ever shot on these radiated lenses? How did you like them?

The Mamiya 645 super is an outstanding camera and a great way to break into the world of medium format shooting. Taking design queues from previous 645 models and inspiration from its designer who also worked to design the Mamiya RZ67 this camera looks just as good as it works. Picking up from where the previous, Mamiya 645 1000s, left off this camera has an electronically timed focal plane shutter with speeds ranging from 4 seconds up to 1/1000 with 1/60 being mechanical to allow shooting even when the battery is dead.
The introduction of aperture priority, automatic exposure, and auto exposure lock allowed for a much more user friendly experience when shooting on this model compared to others in the series. This camera utilizes the same mounting system which allows the use of older lenses on this camera.

Upon its release in 1964, the Yashica Mat EM hit the market running. With an uncoupled meter and an 80/3.5 yashinon shooting lens, this camera delivers beautiful photos without the need of a handheld light meter as was common at the time. Being fully mechanical allowed this camera to be incredibly reliable.... the light meter didn’t even need a battery!
A great introduction to medium format shooting, this camera is well built with an easy to use meter and a sharp lens.

It’s a winter wonderland here at Complete Camera Center and what better way to get out and capture the snow globe that is Vermont other than some black and white film and a trusty Rangefinder?
Today we brought the Konica Hexar RF out. This is Both a unique and not so unique camera all in one. Taking many design queues from the earlier G2, this camera features extremely similar controls to that camera. One of the biggest differences between the two would be the mount. The Hexar RF used Leica’s M mount which opens the door to some of the best lenses on the market.

Have you ever shot with the Konica Hexar RF? What is your favorite kit for snowy days? Let us know in the comments!
