We are heartbroken to share that Tam Nelson passed away on May 16th, 2025.
Tam was not only an incredibly gifted artist and photographer, but also a devoted mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, wife, and friend. She poured her heart into everything she did, especially her work, where her clients quickly became treasured friends. Every session was more than just photographs, it was a connection, a story, and a legacy she helped preserve.
Her website will remain live in her memory, showcasing the artwork she created and the clients she loved so deeply. We hope it continues to reflect her spirit and the beauty she brought into the world.
If you have a pending work order or an open request, please know that we are actively reviewing all files and reaching out to close out anything outstanding. We sincerely appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate this difficult time.
Tam's legacy lives on through her art, her family, and the many lives she touched. She will be missed beyond words.

Two of my friends have been working on me for a few days to allow them to create a go fund me page for me. If you know me at all you know I don’t ask for things ever and this has been very hard. It took love tears and endless pleas for me agree to this. If you read this far and you could share it I would so appreciate it.

I’ve been getting messages from friends and family looking for an update and im sorry it took me a whole week to gain my bearings because this is certainly not the post or update I expected to post:

Last Friday’s surgery was supposed to bring healing. The plan was to finally close the wound I’ve been tending for 8 long months—and be back behind the camera in 4 weeks.

But life had other plans.

Once in the OR, my team found a large cancer bed and hidden tumor . Instead of stitching me up, they had to open me wider. The wound is now four times the size it was, and with it, the weight I carry has multiplied.

The pain has left me unable to work. The next few weeks are filled with MRIs, PETs, CTs—big tests with even bigger questions about the road ahead .

These last 4 years have stripped me bare—physically, emotionally, and financially. I’m trying to find my way, to hold onto some normalcy and something steady. I’ll be sharing a few posts here to keep this page alive because dreaming and creating are part of how I survive.

If you’ve made it this far—thank you. Your love, your light, your support… they mean more than you know.

Vulnerable post here!

The past four years have been the hardest of my life.
Losing my son, being diagnosed with TNBC just a month later, enduring two years of treatments, feeling the relief of no active cancer—only for it to return and spread.
My body has been through so much, from a failed reconstruction to waiting eight months for surgery while dealing with an open wound. But through it all, you—my incredible clients, my extended family—have stood by me.

Your support, your trust, and your kindness have allowed me to keep doing what I love, even in the darkest moments. I truly could not have kept my business going without every single one of you.
And now, as I prepare for this next surgery tomorrow and several weeks of recovery, I want you to know—I will be back.
Stronger. Better. Ready to keep capturing your babies, your families, and your most precious moments.

Thank you for believing in me, for sticking with me through it all. This too shall pass, and brighter days are ahead.

See you all soon!!!

Dreaming of warmer days and golden sunsets!

I remember taking this portrait on a warm summer day when my cousin came to visit—barefoot in the grass, laughter in the air, and the sun kissing our skin.
Counting down the days until sunshine and warmth return! ☀️✨

What a wild ride this week has been!

Just a couple of days ago we were basking in 74° sunshine, and today we’re catching snowflakes!
It seems like Mother Nature is having her own mood swings, but no matter the forecast, I’m determined to chase those spring vibes.

Check out this adorable cutie!

Here’s to embracing every twist and turn that the season brings.

Spring has officially sprung!
Yesterday marked the first day of the season, and even though the temps are playing tricks on us (hello, chilly tempsu!), I can handle it as long as we have that golden sunshine. ☀️✨

To celebrate, here’s an image of this little cutie to brighten your day even more!
Happy Spring, everyone! May your days be filled with sunshine, blooms, and all the sweet moments. 🌸💛

Happy National “Won’t You Be My Neighbor?” Day! ❤️🏡

In honor of the ever-inspiring Mister Rogers, I had to bring back this special project! This set was such a joy to create, from building the litlle tv stage to planning the outfit to curating the perfect props—all with the help of my two favorite vendors. Supporting small businesses (especially women-owned ones) is something I hold close to my heart. Even though we’re miles apart, working together feels like being the best kind of neighbors—lifting each other up and creating something beautiful.

Here’s to kindness, community, and the magic of collaboration! ✨ Won’t you be my neighbor today?
