There is something so special about photographing a wedding where joy is impossible to miss. Every laugh, every happy tear, every hug, every little in between moment reminded me why I love documenting wedding days.

I don’t think either of us imagined this when we first met in nursing school.

We made it through exams, clinicals, graduation, and now we work side by side in the same specialty. Watching your life come full circle has been such a gift, and getting to capture one of your biggest moments makes it even more special.

The forecast called for storms all evening. Tornado sirens were going off at the Jersey Shore, and we genuinely thought we’d have to call it off. Then, for just a few minutes, the rain stopped, the sky softened, and everything fell perfectly into place. He asked, she said yes, and minutes later the storm was back.

Some moments are just meant to happen exactly when they do.

Congratulations to two of the sweetest people. Wishing you both a lifetime of love, laughter, and adventures together. 🤍

I don’t think I’ll ever get over the feeling of seeing a roll of film come back.

Every frame feels like a memory before it even gets developed.

I’ve found myself chasing that nostalgic, timeless feeling more than perfect poses lately. The hugs that happen naturally. The laughter in between. The moments that aren’t planned but somehow end up meaning the most.

These two photos were captured on 35mm film, and they’re exactly why I fell in love with it. Film has a way of slowing everything down and reminding us that the best moments can’t be recreated.

I don’t think I’ll ever get over sessions like this.

We started with a beautiful summer evening… then got caught in a downpour. Instead of running for cover, they embraced it. So we did too.

These ended up being some of my favorite film photos I’ve ever taken because they don’t feel perfect—they feel real. The soaked clothes, the messy hair, the laughter, the quiet moments… that’s the kind of love worth remembering.

If you’re worried that rain will ruin your engagement session, this is your sign that sometimes it creates the photos you’ll treasure the most.

Captured on 35mm film because some moments deserve to exist beyond a screen.

Tyler State Park might’ve just become one of my favorite places to shoot. 🌿

Amanda told me all she wanted was three photos she loved.

Instead… she left with a full gallery.

Between the wooded trails, open fields, the river, and their sweet pitbull tagging along, every turn gave us another reason to keep shooting. Some sessions just click like that, and this was one of them.

If you’re dreaming of engagement photos that feel like you, running through fields, bringing your dog, dancing on the trails, and exploring somewhere beautiful instead of standing stiffly in front of the camera, this is your sign.

I’d happily make the drive to Tyler State Park again.
