Every wedding has its own special touches and this one felt incredibly special not only because of the love between these two, but their ceremony and reception was hosted on the beautiful property of the groom’s grandfather.

I spent the day getting ready with the ladies in an adorable Airbnb in Charlottesville before we headed into the countryside where I caught up with the groom and groomsmen at the family home. The groomsmen were soaking up the special day and opportunity for reunion so this bunch was extra silly to work with which I always enjoy.

This couple loves their dips!

Such a special wedding from being married in the church that the groom’s family has known for years to celebrating after in the family gathering home of the bride, the day was full of love and togetherness.

30 Weddings Before 30.

This October, I turn 30.

Before that milestone arrives, I've set a goal that feels both exciting and a little scary: I want to book 30 weddings and elopements (Note: Book. Not necessarily to occur by October).

Not because I want to be the biggest photography business around.

Because I believe every wedding has a story worth preserving, and because photography has given me a career and artistic outlet that I genuinely love.

So I'm putting the goal out into the world and tracking it publicly.

I had the privilege to attend “the only live performance” of good friend, Obsessive Thoughts at 🎶

Each song has so much emotion and catchy tunes, I haven’t been able to get “Hey, Mr. Stranger”, “I Can Dance Alone”, “Water Song (Drip, Drip, Drip), and “Trust the Process” out of my head since Saturday.
