CSX 4536 leads a northbound manifest along the causeway at Iona Island, NY bordering the Hudson River. In the background was a crane that was in place to replace the small truss bridge along the causeway which I have photographed in the past.

Hope you guys enjoy this angle!

Reading & Northern T-1 2102 stomping up the grade at Siedel on the RBMN Lehigh Division yesterday evening.

This train was returning from the Pittston Tomato Festival and I figured I would grab a couple more angles since it was fairly local to me.

Hope you all enjoy!

Thank you to Ross Snapshots who helped me set up this GoPro for a more suitable angle!

Delaware-Lackawanna Railroad PO74 working is way westbound with 2045 leading in golden evening light through Cresco, PA.

The crew just wrapped up working Slateford Junction and was heading for Mount Pocono where they would eventually outlaw bringing an end to their long work day.

This was taken over a month ago.

Let’s cool off with some Ithaca Central from February of 2023.

Me and Nate headed north to Ithaca, NY in the Winter of 2023 to photograph the Ithaca Central Railroad, I almost slept on this considering the weather and me being lazy. Thankfully this did not happen as we captured some amazing photos between Ithaca and Sayre, PA as the crew took the train southbound.

This shot particularly was taken at Station Road in West Danby, NY on the heavy part of the grade. Between the weight of the train along with the mechanical issues these SD40-2’s endured, the train came to a halt on the hill. The conductor set many handbrakes and they had to leave half the train behind, take the half they had and double the cars back up on a siding a few miles down the line.

This scene particularly was pretty incredible as the motors came screaming up the hill for miles, we could hear them for about 20 minutes before they swung the corner and began the crawl towards us in the snow covered environment.

Glad I woke up and caught these guys!

While Genesee Valley Transportation Co., Inc. sent 1776 to Spencer, NC for the gathering of all of the locomotives painted in a special livery to commemorate the America 250, the Erie Lackawanna twins have been out and about.

With work being busy and trips being planned out of town, I was able to head north to Scranton, PA and photograph these sharp units pulling some freight on the Carbondale Branch of the Delaware-Lackawanna Railroad.

Thanks to some info and planning with Michael Walsh and Jake Dennebaum, we were able to track down SC7 and photograph them in Archbald, PA after working the lumber transload site.

Reading & Northern 2102 coming through Solomon's Gap in Mountain Top, PA this Summer with a short passenger consist in tow. Or at least shorter than usual.

This was a gloomy June day but I still wanted to see what I could get while most of the attention was on Big Boy 4014 in Steamtown National Historic Site in Scranton, PA.

The first few trips over the mountain, 2102 would have diesel assistance on the trip into the Wyoming Valley. This day the lone SD50-2 was trailing behind the locomotive giving opportunity to photograph the steam locomotive at the head end of the train all the way to Pittston, PA. While they have been doing it this way for quite some time, it was nice to be able to photograph it for myself.

Hope you all enjoy this shot, I'll be out for more 2102 this Saturday.
