Planning senior pictures is SO much fun, but there are a few little things that tend to get overlooked until the last minute! After 10+ years of photographing seniors across Nebraska, I've learned that a little planning goes a LONG way!

Here are THREE things I wish every senior thought about before their session:

✨ **1. YOUR YEARBOOK DEADLINE!**
Every school is different, and some deadlines sneak up WAY earlier than you'd expect. Make sure you know yours so we have plenty of time for your session, image selection, and ordering!

✨ **2. BRING THE THINGS THAT MAKE YOU, YOU!**
Sports equipment, instruments, pets, vehicles, hobbies, letter jackets... ALL of it! Your senior pictures should tell YOUR story, not look like everyone else's.

✨ **3. THINK BEYOND THE DIGITALS!**
Graduation announcements, framed portraits, albums, and gifts for grandparents. Think about how you actually want to enjoy these pictures years from now!

YEAR TWO with the Lyons family! 🥹🤍

Oh goodness, one of my FAVORITE things about being a family photographer is getting to watch these sweet kiddos grow up right in front of my camera! This was my second year photographing the Lyons crew, and it's been so much fun getting to know these girls and watching their little personalities grow and change.

And can we talk about how FAST a year goes?! 😭

One minute they're these little girls, and the next they're another year older, a little taller, and growing into their own personalities. And telling me all about the cool Halloween costumers they have planned.

It's such a sweet reminder of why I love annual family pictures so much. You don't always notice the little changes when you're living them every day, but goodness, put those pictures side by side and it hits you!

We had the prettiest evening exploring Sunken Gardens in Lincoln, Nebraska, and goodness, I am LOVING these images from Brianna's senior session!

Oh, the Robbins boys!! 🥹🤍

One of the sweetest parts of being a family photographer is getting to come back year after year and watch these little kiddos GROW!

It's been such a joy getting to know the Robbins family and watching these two boys grow into their own little personalities. And goodness, those smiles!! 😍

We spent some time capturing their sweet crew right at HOME, and honestly, there's something extra special about that.

The place where your babies take their first steps, where the everyday chaos happens, where you snuggle on the couch and make a million little memories without even realizing it.

Someday, those familiar corners of home will mean just as much as the people in the pictures.

And I think that's pretty darn special. 🥹

Robbins family, thank you for continuing to let me be a little part of your story. It's such a joy watching your boys grow, and I can't wait to see you all again!

Ohhhh, I am SO excited to share this one because it hits close to my heart.

We recently put together this gorgeous framed portrait from Chloie's senior session at Sunken Gardens in Lincoln, and I couldn't love how it turned out more!

Three sisters, a whole lot of giggles, and two parents who get to love them through it all.

The Lehr family!!

We spent the most beautiful evening together in Crete, Nebraska, and goodness, this girl gang was SO much fun! There's just something about watching sisters together. The laughing, the teasing, the little looks they give each other, and those moments when you can tell they're trying SO hard not to crack up. 😂

And honestly? Those are some of my favorite moments to photograph.

Because someday these girls will be grown, life will look a little different, and I hope they'll pull out these pictures and remember what it felt like to be right here, in this season of life, together.

The pretty smiles are wonderful, but give me the belly laughs and the genuine moments any day!
