Day 2 of showing up again, and if you missed yesterday — hi, I’m Jamie 🤍

Yesterday I shared a little about who I am. Today, I want to share why I do this.

I’ve always been drawn to the in between moments. The real smiles. The quiet confidence. The little things you don’t realize matter until they do.

Photography, for me, isn’t about stiff poses or perfect conditions. It’s about creating space for you to just be and documenting what naturally unfolds.

That’s why every session I offer is built around time and flexibility. No rushing. No pressure. Just room to tell your story in a way that actually feels like you.

Because at the end of the day, these images aren’t just for now. They’re for the moments when everything has changed and you want to remember exactly how it felt.

It’s been a while since I’ve introduced myself and with so many new faces here, I figured it was time.

Hi, I’m Jamie — the face behind the camera at CandleHut Media.

I’m a storyteller at heart, and photography is how I freeze the moments that matter most. Whether it’s seniors stepping into their next chapter, families holding onto the little things, or couples celebrating their story. I’m here to document it in a way that feels real, natural, and true to you.

When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll find me teaching, running a greenhouse and floral shop, and staying busy with FFA life.

My approach is simple:

Livestock Families--It's time to start thinking about livestock minis!
Last year, I found myself zipping back and forth from one county to the next in the same day, and with the price of gas this year, I would like to plan things out a little bit better. I am going to leave this form up for a couple weeks to gauge interest and see what days and times work best for everyone, and then start reaching out around Memorial Day to start scheduling and booking. Hey friends 🤍

I wanted to give a quick little update on galleries!

I am just about finished with one very large senior gallery (you know who you are 👀), and once that’s wrapped up, the rest will start rolling out much more quickly.

This time of year is a full-on busy season for me outside of photography — the greenhouse is open, the floral shop is in full swing for Mother’s Day, and FFA Awards Night is right around the corner. It’s a lot of moving pieces, but all things I truly love.

Thank you so much for your patience, your trust, and for letting me be the one to capture your moments. I promise you… it will be worth the wait 🫶
