I unfortunately, fortunately have. I feel for those who go through loss and try my best to give more in those times of need.
Kristin Sweeting said it best with this statement I'm sharing.
My personal Story...
(Long but worth the read)
Growing up, my family experienced a traumatic house fire that engulfed our cherished memories, leaving us only with thoughts and no tangible remnants to hold onto. This devastating event instilled in me a deep appreciation for the significance of memories and a desire to capture and preserve moments. Hence, my journey in photography began with a singular purpose: to seize and safeguard the fleeting moments of my life, especially those involving my son, who was my only kiddo at the time.
The house fire during my grade school years had a profound impact on my family. It stripped us of our possessions, but more significantly, it robbed us of our tangible memories. The pain of losing photographs, mementos, and personal items was an emotional burden we carried.
Reflecting on that loss ignited a passion within me to safeguard memories through photography. Every click of the camera shutter became a vow to never let such a loss happen again. I resolved to capture moments that hold immeasurable value.
Through the lens of my camera, I've been able to reclaim what the fire took from us—a sense of permanence for the fleeting moments of life. Photography became more than a hobby; it was a way to immortalize the transient and grasp at the intangible. The value of preserving these moments isn't just personal; it's about creating legacies and leaving behind a tangible heritage for generations to come.
Reflecting on my own journey in photography, I urge those who haven't had the opportunity to consider a professional photoshoot to seize the chance. The artistry and skill of a local photographer can capture moments in a way that transcends the ordinary, creating tangible memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. ❤️
