Some people have a way of making everyone around them feel like family, and she is one of those people.

Kind, compassionate, generous, and endlessly welcoming—she has created a home filled with love, and it shows in every part of the beautiful family she's raised. Her two incredible daughters are brilliant, thoughtful, and strong women who are such a testament to the example she has set.

Tonight, I had the honor of photographing Shelli Kadel and I couldn't stop thinking about how lucky I am to know her and her family. Being invited into moments like these is something I'll never take for granted.

The world is a better place because of women like her, and I'm so grateful our paths crossed through her daughter Lauren Kadel in Kindergarten!
