Jackson + Makaela’s August wedding day in Newton felt like the perfect mix of sentimental, joy-filled, and just the right amount of unhinged 😂
Because how often does a groom turn around for his first look only to find… his brother in a wedding dress?! I was absolutely LOSING it behind my camera. 😂
But that’s what I loved so much about this day. One minute everyone was doubled over laughing, and the next there were those quiet, tender moments that make you remember what a wedding day is really about. Makaela with her dad. Jackson waiting for his bride. The two of them standing hand-in-hand at the altar surrounded by the people who have loved them through every chapter that brought them here. 🤍
And then… MARRIED!!! A high-energy bubble sendoff, portraits with quite possibly the coolest blue getaway car ever, lots and lots of laughter, dancing, cake, and a sparkler exit to send the newlyweds off into their next chapter. ✨
These are the wedding days I love documenting most. Not just the pretty things (although HELLOOO that dress, veil, florals + vintage car 😍), but the weird, hilarious, emotional, blink-and-you’ll-miss-it moments that actually tell you who these people are.
