Meet Lorraine!
Hi everyone! My name is Lorraine Howard. I have been a photographer since June 2010. Wow! Time flies by when you do something you absolutely LOVE!
I recently moved to Texarkana, TX from Redding, CA and I am really enjoying my new state! I grew up as a Southern girl in Hot Springs and Mt. Ida, AR and I really wanted to get back to my roots. So very glad I did because I met my true love here! We just got married September 27, 2018! I am a mama to 8 children. What?!?! Yeah, you read that right, 8 kiddos. I have been a foster mom to 99 children and found through photographing each of these sweet kids that I truly had a passion for photography. (My daddy dabbled in photography as well and I always enjoyed watching him.) I was blessed to work with a VERY talented husband and wife photography team whom became some of my dearest friends. I am so thankful for their kindness in helping me to excel at what I believe God has gifted me to be. I am known as the “baby whisperer” to my clients. I LOVE LOVE LOVE working with newborns!
I have donated my time and talents to organizations like “The Tiny Footprint Project” where I would visit NICUs and take photos of VERY tiny babies and their families while they were in the hospital. Why is this so important to me? Well, my first-born was a micro-preemie born at 26 weeks. I missed out on all of the newborn photos. I only have 2 polaroid photos to remind me how very tiny he was. I longed to have more memories of those precious, but very trying times. My heart goes out to those families and so I donate a full-session and all of their digital photos to them. I also donate the same to Foster Agencies for their Seniors who are graduating. So often, these foster children don’t have professional portraits to remember such an important part of their life. I help them to feel GREAT about themselves and show them how very special they are. They receive their photo for their yearbook and a beautiful portrait to keep.
I also work with couples who just got engaged and follow them as their forever photographer during the biggest day of their life on their wedding day then again for their maternity photos, and on to their birth story and their family photography sessions.
