This was a hot one for sure, but absolutely beautiful wedding. I'm always so excited when I get to go back to Sugar Grove. It is one of my favorite venues.

Everyone at this wedding was the sweetest of people. They were so welcoming and everyone helped out to make any minor issues stay small. I can't wait to share more from this wedding!

We spent the evening exploring the beautiful state capital. I've been trying to find someone that would be willing to go here for their sessions and Erin and Joe were that couple! It was HOT, but these two were absolute troopers, smiling and laughing through every moment.

We wrapped up our session just in time before the storms rolled in. Talk about perfect timing! Sometimes the best memories come from chasing the light and beating the weather.

I can't wait to celebrate with these two on their wedding day in September.

There are some sessions that just feel like spending time with friends, and this was definitely one of them.

We laughed, chased the light, captured sweet moments, sweated together. It's such an honor to photograph families I know and to help create these memories as everyone grows and changes.

As we start looking ahead to fall, now is the time to book your family session. Fall is one of my busiest seasons, and with so many weddings on my calendar this year, I have limited number of family sessions I'm available to do.

A little change of pace from weddings.

I got to take a break from photographing love stories to spend some time with the sweetest one year old. While I don't do many children's sessions anymore, this one was such a fun reminder of how special it is to capture these milestones.

There were giggles, curious moments and a broken coke bottle. Thank you to this sweet family for letting me photograph these memories.

Now it's back to my continued busy wedding season, but this little session was the perfect refresh!
