Recently discovered Sequator and the magic it brings to stacking photos to remove noise, and wow the amount of noise reduction is insane! Now I just have to start learning how get the best out of it. This photo was taken in Tafton PA while visiting a friend. I hope one day I can live in an area where I don't have to deal with light pollution anymore because man driving 4 hours one way to take photos absolutely sucks....

So, it's been a while... Here's a timelapse I took a couple years back on an EXTREMELY cold night with some friends at Spruce K**b lake in West Virginia. I tried for hours to get my telescope to work but it was just too cold for the motors to function properly. So, the last few hours I decided to aim my camera on the hills behind the lake and shoot this timelapse. I got lucky and captured a couple frames of a meteor burning up in the sky about 10 seconds in. If you look carefully you can see the smoke trail it leaves for a couple frame after it penetrates the atmosphere.

To celebrate the start of my next semester, here's another photo I took while on my trip to Missouri of the orion nebula. I kept it in black & white because I thought it looked better and brought out more detail. This is a stacked image of just 5 photos I believe. It was so windy out a lot of my photos were unusable.

Timelapse of the Orion nebula from 173 photos taken with my Nikon D5300 attached to the iOptron SkyTracker. This timelapse shows the imperfection of the tracking at large zooms. (Remember though that it's 173 phots taken at 25 second each cut down to a 14 second video)
