Mitch + Macee in the mountains

Every wedding I photograph leaves a big fat stamp on my heart. I am your guest, laughing with your friends and crying with your mom and learning why everyone loves you so much. I’m invited into a few hours but can feel the years.

Every photo I take is a second, but it tells a story I can only begin to imagine— of you two and everyone you’ve picked up along the way.

Photographing weddings is the biggest honor of my life and Mitch + Macee’s day was no different. When I think of joy, heart, and intention, it’s this. Two people so very in love, eager to pour their hearts into their community and their community loving them back even harder.

Come second shoot a wedding with me in Lake Geneva!

Wedding season is in full swing and I’m so excited for all of my weekends to look like this — documenting sweet people in love 🫶

I love to balance primary and second shooting in my calendar because they are so different! On second shooting days, I can take a step back, focus on quieter in between moments, and take more time to try ideas that I wouldn’t be able to attempt on primary days. Plus, it’s always an honor to work with other photographers and learn from them, like the sweet .halling 🥰
