I first started attending the NAS Oceana Air Show while at Old Dominion University in 1991, and I hadn’t been back until this year. My last visit in 2018 was unforgettable—I watched the F-22 Raptor Demo Team in action and saw the F-35 Lightning on static display. Fast forward to 2024, and I finally witnessed the F-35 take flight, along with an incredible lineup of performers and aircraft.

Photos may freeze moments in time, but they can’t truly capture the thunderous roar of the engines, the explosive percussion of pyrotechnics, or the sheer talent of the pilots. There’s nothing like being there in person for the full experience!
