You may see a slowdown in posts. I’ve been home trying to heal my back — that’s what I get for being old and acting like a kid. Yes, I admit it: I’m enjoying the childhood I missed, just later in life.

The photos below are of a tiny, super‑cute hatchling Eastern Box Turtle my wife almost peed on while we were herping in Georgia a few years ago. It’s the only time I’ve genuinely struggled with wanting to take one home. I did NOT, but the temptation was real.

Anyway — don’t worry, I didn’t quit. I’m just trying to heal. I carry a lot of heavy camera gear for this work, and right now even lugging it to the truck isn’t an option.

A weight has been lifted, I quit all groups. I no longer have to wade through rules to find appropriate groups to post in. It’s impossible to follow the rules of 50 or more groups.
