Doulas support partners too. So many of my clients tell me afterward that my support during their birth was as much for their partner as it was for them. I will never take the place of your person in that room. But I can guide them — so that they show up as the best support they can be. This dad and his brand new baby. Amanda wanted birth photography but hadn’t booked it. Her water broke and her husband texted me — can we add it on? We did. I was already there as their doula. I just got my camera bag ready too. That text was such a quiet act of love. Him thinking of her in that moment, wanting her to have it. Baby number two is on the way and it was not a question. 🌙 Birth story photography for

A recent report presented at ACOG 2026 found that women with birth plans had higher rates of vaginal birth, early breastfeeding, fewer interventions and lower NICU admissions. I call them birth preferences — and when we work together a large part of our prenatal visits is devoted to them. Not because birth follows a plan. It doesn’t. Birth is a mystery and we never know what journey will unfold. But because when you walk into that room informed — knowing your options, knowing your wishes, knowing you have a voice — everything changes. My job isn’t to make decisions for you. I’m just a guide. What I can do is make sure you understand what your options are so that as your birth unfolds, you can make those decisions with confidence. Your providers can only support your wishes if they know what they are. Birth photography and doula support for Emma. 🌙

Kati. Golden hour. Two.

I have talked about my obsession with twins to anyone who will listen. My best friend, my cousin sister, has a twin brother — and since they were born when I was fifteen I have been a little consumed by it. Since starting birth work I have been waiting for this.

This year I finally got to be in the room.

Kati wanted a peaceful vaginal birth for her fourth and fifth babies. Twin birth was unknown territory and she reached out for doula support. After quite a few changes in plans we found Dr. Faussett at Community Medical Center in Missoula — a doctor who supports vaginal breech twin birth. And that is exactly what Kati did. Both of them breech.

I don’t have enough words for what it was to witness this. If you are expecting twins and looking for support or searching for a provider who will honor your birth preferences — Dr. Faussett is someone I recommend without hesitation. 🌙

Siblings are a big part of newborn sessions around here.

Sometimes that looks like big cuddles with mama for big sister first. Then we move from there — at your pace, around your family’s needs and schedule.

Moments where she is the star. Moments where she helps me pose her mama and baby brother.

She takes that job very seriously, by the way. 🌙

There’s a sweet kind of in-between when you’re waiting for your next baby—still soaking in your firstborn, still finding quiet moments with your partner, still holding all the love that’s about to stretch and grow.
This evening with felt like the softest pause: warm grass, glowing light, and a family on the edge of a brand-new chapter.

The sweetest little helper during a newborn exam with . Did you know whether at home or at the hospital your baby will be comforted by having their family members close and even holding them during the exam. At home mom is usually right there on the bed with them but at the hospital your partner can hold baby’s hand and comfort them through the procedure with touch and talk.
