There’s one thing I never have to ask for during a session with young kids — and that’s action.

Running, jumping, spinning, launching off the furniture (yep, totally normal)… sessions with little ones are rarely calm — but they’re always fun.

I’m sharing more from my recent Best of 2025 post — and today’s spotlight is on the action category. It was impossible to choose winners, but this first shot stole my heart. A quiet moment… with just enough motion to remind me why I love this job so much.

For years, I’ve wanted to do a “best of the year” post—like superlatives for all the moments that made my year so special. Over break, I finally made it happen.

Turns out, narrowing things down was harder than expected. Not because there weren’t enough good photos, but because there were too many meaningful ones. This isn’t about crowning winners—it’s about celebrating the goodness. The prettiest light. The sweetest sibling connections. The cry faces that made me laugh. The personalities that made each session memorable.

This carousel is just a glimpse into 165 sessions, 20,489 images delivered and a year that felt impossibly full in the best way. To the families who showed up—messy, joyful, perfectly imperfect—thank you for trusting me with your stories. I’m so grateful.

It’s a look back at favorite moments, funny ones, and the images that I LOVED the moment they happened.
