Hey guys! I’m Whitney, face behind Whitney A Photography! I’m married to my high school sweetheart, mom of 3 spunky kids, B1, B2, & B3 together we make the Farmer Five! :)

I’ve always had a love for photography, but it wasn’t until 2014 when I decided to take a hobby and turn it into a business.. I’ve tried and pursued many different genres of photography, but there's two things that remained consistent throughout my growing periods. My love for lifestyle photography (Capturing the perfect, authentic moments between my clients), and wedding photography!

Around my first full year in- when I was trying to self teach myself all the things, marathons of YouTube videos and Creative Live classes... one particular class caught my eye. It was a class with Jasmine Star, a photographer I had been following (I still do and still participate in mentor courses from her) she had this Wedding Bootcamp that walked you through the entire process of a wedding photographer. It taught me how to be resilient throughout the day, how to think on my toes, and how to ‘wham bam thank you ma’am’ through the group shots! Man am I thankful for that course! Anywho, through that course I was able to gain confidence with shooting weddings and other events.

Being a prior military spouse and living the military lifestyle for 12+ years; it’s brought me a lot of opportunity. Opportunity to photograph a diverse range of families and couples throughout states I had only dreamed of visiting prior to A going Active. I’ve been blessed to spread my photography throughout Alabama, Georgia, New York, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Louisiana! One things for sure, I love meeting new people, photographing different scenery, and getting out trying new things (local foods, coffee, things that make that city/state special). I’m so thankful to be back in our home state of Alabama, but still long for that adventure with destination wedding and family sessions.
