Have you ever swam at First Beach?

From above it looks perfect… but locals know it doesn’t always stay that way. Because it sits right near the Easton’s Beach shoreline and the mouth of Easton Bay, it can get hit with runoff after heavy rain. That’s when bacteria levels spike and swimming advisories sometimes go up.

Still one of the most iconic beaches in Newport… just depends on the day.
