My plates are coming out of the kiln! On these I used watered down underglazes to give an ethereal water color look. I glazed with clear. I’m not satisfied with the clear because of some pitting, so I may try to sand and deglaze. Other than that, I enjoy painting on everything!

During my painting sabbatical, I took up pottery. There’s just something about working the clay with your hands that is so satisfying. This is a little box I hand built, then underglazed in turquoise and brown to look like distressed leather. I finished it off with some leather laces (laced by ). Maybe I will try a bigger one since I love how this turned out!

Some people may not know, but I am a photographer, too.

I love capturing fine art moments—things that catch my eye, the way light falls, interesting forms, and quiet emotion.

Yes, I have the full camera setup… but honestly, most of the time I just use the camera that’s with me—my phone.

“In the Rain” is a photo I took of my daughter. I’m drawn to the soft, unfocused quality here—the way the rain, light, and motion blur everything into something more like a feeling than a moment.

It’s imperfect, moody, and a little dreamy… and I love that.

Since the end of November, I have been on a painting sabbatical. Creating a heartfelt gift for my new grandson due in June, has been the catalyst that refueled my artistic journey.

The shower isn’t until next weekend, but we gave their gift early. I think they liked Ranger Bear, an original 20x 24” acrylic on canvas.

Collected Moments: Italy Series, “Italy Icons”

During a month traveling through Italy, I photographed moments that caught my attention. Historic architecture, everyday scenes, and details that reflect the country’s deep cultural history. “Italy Icons” is an altered photo collage gathers some of my photographs into a single composition, creating a visual record of the journey and the many places and experiences that shaped it.
