It's been a rare privilege to work in this extraordinary studio built by the artist/illustrator Ben Stahl in 1949. The Studio hadn't been occupied by another artist since the 50s and it was the setting for so many phenomenal collaborations and artistic high and lows that I will cherish. But all good things must come to an end and with the property owner's recent exit at 103 years of age, the property will be sold and more than likely bulldozed by some developer. I will truly miss this Studio and the landscape that captured my imagination and with more than 25000 photographs and countless renderings and color studies it will continue to resonate and inspire.
So the search is on for a new space to work and a place to live as well. If anyone has or knows anyone that may have an available Carriage House or Cabin or Loft or Tree House or a long term sublet I would greatly appreciate it. NYC, Westchester County or Fairfield County CT ideally but I remain open to a new adventure wherever it takes me.
