Over the last few months, I’ve found myself realizing that so much of what I’ve been looking for has been right in front of me all along.

I don’t think I was lost. But I do think, for a while, I was waiting for someone to rescue me, to push me, to hand me the opportunity I was looking for, or maybe just tell me exactly what I was supposed to do next.

And somewhere along the way, I realized… no one is coming to do it for me…sometimes you have to be the person who believes in yourself enough to just go for it. To push yourself a little harder. To take the risk. To build the thing you keep dreaming about.

Because life is just too short to have dreams you aren’t chasing.

And I think that’s one of the biggest things I’ve learned lately. Along the way, you’re going to meet people and you’re going to lose people. You’re going to have money and you’re going to run out of money. You’re going to have seasons where everything feels like it’s falling perfectly into place and seasons where absolutely nothing does.

It’s all temporary.

But this is your life. And at the end of the day, I think we owe it to ourselves to chase the things that make us genuinely happy.

And if you’re really lucky, you’ll have a few people beside you who believe in your crazy dreams just as much as you do.

So here it is…

And as excited as I am to create here, I don’t want this little space to only be about photography.

I want it to hold beautiful moments.

Family photos. Proposals. Tiny weddings. Tea parties. Birthday celebrations. Cups of coffee. Long conversations. Kids running around the yard. Friends staying a little longer than they planned.

I’ve realized that some of my very best friends and some of the people I love most are people I sometimes only get to see when they’re standing in front of my camera. And I hope this becomes a place where, after the photos are done, we can sit down with a cup of coffee and actually stay awhile.

I want it to be a place where people feel safe and happy. Where they can celebrate something huge or something that might seem small to everyone else. A place where memories are made, not just photographed.

A space for my family. My friends. My clients who have somehow become friends. And all of the people I haven’t met yet.

I ordered her six months ago, and somehow during those six months, this dream became about so much more than a greenhouse.

And I can fill it with the people and the moments that make this life beautiful. 🤍
