What a beautiful evening to sit on the deck and spin until sunset. Spinning my Just Ducky custom blend merino, mulberry silk and tussah silk . I am almost done with my Waiting For Rain shawl spin. I am on my last bobbin! Then I ply!

My baby turtle is born! I could not resist spinning my Good Morning Rolags. I just took the Butterfly Garden Turtle off because it was so heavy it was hurting my fingers to spin it. It weighed in at 4.3 oz!! I am going to spin the butterfly reject rolags( look imperfect but spin great) on this spindle too then ply it with Butterfly Garden. I love my Turk!

I love Malik Farm’s Coopworth/Alpaca socks from their locally raised Coopworth sheep. They are so comfortable and durable, and soon to be available in colors at Looped In Fiber Arts!

TDF 2026 it’s a wrap! My largest and most favorite spin was 9oz Sedona thick and thin and Emerald City was my fave sock spin! so many beautiful fibers!

TDF Stage 13: Plying Day! Great success! Boy that auto level winder makes much prettier bobbins than relying on me to move my hooks! The Emerald City yarn is my fave of the tour so far,BFL/Mohair, but it was impossible to take a good picture of it because of all the smoke in the air. The light was this weirdest yellow color all day through the haze. hopefully I’ll get some better pics once it dries and we can see the sun and sky.

I have been given the official OK to share the joyful news! Introducing Mr and Mrs Jason Johnson! Corrie and Jason were married Wednesday and we were honored to witness the joining of their lives. Jason is a wonderful man and I am proud to call him my son. I wish them every happiness as they embark on their new life together!

Here’s your happy! I had a wonderful afternoon at Susan Anderson Withnell’s farm today. She invited us over to visit her 75-94% Wensleydale lambs. They are so cute! I took so many pictures! She is trying to find homes for some of her lambs. You can message her directly if interested. I am hoping I can catch up on some of my scouring so I can get one of these Wendsleydale fleeces!
