My sister complimented me on my arms the other day and it was all I could think about for days. Working at home and alone all the time means I don't get a lot of personal affirmations/compliments/gratitude during the day, so I take these kinda statements to heart in a deep way. ❤️

Also, listen... I injure myself every session somehow, not because what I'm asking you is like... Gymnastics level hard, but because I run into a bed frame corner, hit my head on the fan, walked on Xmas lights and cut my foot, run into my step stool. The last one was I stepped up on my bed and heard a weird noise in my knee, the next day it was swollen 🙄 Ya know. Normal professional things. 😁

This has not happened to me in a long while, because you are all cool people.

But this isn't an uncommon interaction with people contacting businesses. Parasocial relationships on all the apps have sort of broken down a social barrier, which in some ways is really beautiful because it can build communities and trust. And I love that.

That said, in other ways it often removes the respect piece, the humanity piece of it all... and people forget that they're talking to someone who deserves to be treated like the human they began following them for in the first place.

Just say hi/hey/hello first in your DM, then ask your question. It improves the vibe from the start. 🤘
