Hi, I’m Carly! 👋

I’ll be honest, I used to share my face here a lot more before I had Calvin.

But it was a heck of a lot easier then to get myself put together, set up a camera, and have an hour of uninterrupted time back then 🤣

Either way, I wanted to remind you there’s a girl behind the camera and the social media accounts and the emails!

I’m Carly 🙋🏼‍♀️

I started photography wayyy back in 2011 when a friend asked if I’d take her senior portraits for her.

And here we are, almost 14 years later, with a business like Mayberry & Stone, the most beautiful blessing.

I mean really, I photograph beautiful woman, the sweetest families, and get to be a part of people’s wedding days FOR A LIVING.

Mayberry & Stone came from the place I grew up and now Tyler and I own 30 acres right next door to my childhood home.

We have our sweet baby boy who is officially 2 and a half 😳😳

Our first fur baby, Chandler 🐶

And little Miss Luna! Who found us on our property back in July. 🐱

Just a few random facts about me… do we share anything in common??

• Tyler and I are high school sweethearts

We don’t talk enough about how giving yourself grace is just as important as giving it to your baby.

I used to feel guilty about needing even a moment to myself, like it was selfish.

But then, in the quiet moments, I realized that taking care of me was part of taking care of Calvin (my son).

Sometimes, self-care looks like a long bath, but other times, it’s as simple as sitting down with a cup of tea before the baby wakes up.

Those little moments, they matter.

Because when we pause, when we breathe, we remind ourselves that we’re still here—underneath all the motherhood, there’s still Y O U.

Motherhood isn’t about having it all together; it’s about embracing the moments when you feel like you don’t. Those days when the tears fall, when the doubts creep in—these are the moments that show your incredible strength. It’s okay to feel vulnerable, mama. In those moments, you are growing, learning, and becoming even more resilient.

I just tucked my baby in and his sweet little voice says “I lah yew, mama”…

And so I say, “goodnight, Calvin”

And he says “na-night, mama”

My heart aches. Seriously, lie to me please… whatever you do, please don’t tell me it goes by too fast
