Harper Maris Photography is a natural lifestyle photography studio based in New Jersey that specializes in newborn, children, and family portraiture.

Meet Lauren Troisi… the photographer behind Harper Maris Photography. The name Harper Maris comes from my daughters’ middle names, because really, they are my inspiration. Seeing the world through their eyes is an amazing gift, and I am lucky enough to get to spend every day watching them grow. I have always loved taking pictures. For as long as I can remember, I have had a camera in my hands. I i

nitially found my inspiration in nature - capturing a beautiful sunset or how the mountains reflect perfectly in a lake. Then my first daughter was born and suddenly the picture changed. I wanted to freeze time at every single stage of her life and hold on to it. I love how a photograph can bring you back to a moment and make you relive it over and over again. While photography has always been an interest of mine, my first career was as an elementary school teacher. What I enjoyed most about teaching was watching a child’s face light up - many times it was from something so small and simple. I loved watching children delight in the everyday joys of life. I realized the importance of capturing these little moments before they pass you by. So, after ten years in the classroom, I decided to take a break from my teaching career and turned to my other passion. A perfectionist at heart, I began studying photography with a focus on family and child portraiture. By the time my second daughter was born, so was Harper Maris Photography. There are days I miss teaching, but I truly appreciate getting to interact with children and their families in a whole new way through photography.

You're in Luck... I will have my Holiday Mini Sessions for two days only on December 6th & 7th at my home studio.

Come have some fun with our holiday baking set or more the traditional tree farm set!

Perfect for up to 3 (maybe 4 if they're small) kids... You can even include your pets!

Sessions only take 10-15 Minutes and I GUARANTEE a 48hr turnaround time so you'll still have time to order those cards!

Loving how the final set came out for my winter studio session... no kids were around to take sample pictures, so my cute puppy had to do :). I have a few last minute openings on Sunday Nov 20th morning and afternoon... message me for details!

Now Booking Winter Studio Mini Sessions... I am super excited about this one... there are so many fun winter possibilities with it... I am even planning to offer one or two of your images with a snow overlay to look like you're outside in the snow... check out the sample image for an idea of what it will look like.

The cost is $325 for a 15 min session and will include 10-15 digital images. This set is intended just for kids.

Sessions will take place on Nov 19th & 20th and images will be delivered within a week so you will have them right around Thanksgiving... in plenty of time to send out holiday cards!!

It's that time of year again... I have sent out my booking information for beach and fall mini session for current/previous clients today. If you did not receive it and would like to book a session, please let me know as soon as possible... these sessions fill up FAST!!

Back by popular demand, I am doing studio holiday mini sessions... This year, the set will be a hot chocolate bar theme! While I usually do these mini sessions in my home studio, to make things more covid friendly, I have set up the studio in my garage this year so that the door can be left open.

Sessions will take place on November 5th and 6th (if you are away for teachers convention but really want to book a session, I will do my best to schedule an alternate date for you!)

The cost for the session is $300 but for the first 5 people that book, they will get the discounted price of $275. Sessions are 15 min and include 5-10 high resolution images (plus a cup of hot chocolate and candy cane!)
