One of the reasons I love photography because it always seems to give me a life lesson. I pass this spot almost daily. Last week as I was driving by I noticed the pretty red colored ground covering. As with most days, I was in a hurry between appointments getting frim Point A to Point B. I thought " I can get this shot later. I will be back by here again" and then I thought "No, take a minute to enjoy and capture the moment" It probably took me 30 seconds to stop and take the photo. The next time I drove by the field was dirt and the red was gone. Although this may seem very small in the scheme of life, I am grateful that my passion reminds me to slow down and enjoy the moment.

A couple of summers ago, my life long passion for photography came alive in a way that I found difficult to explain at the time. I had always loved photography. Even as a kid, my prized possession was my camera. I was the dorky kid always taking pictures.
