I've never taken a photo of someone I didn’t find beautiful. This might sound surprising or even improbable, but it’s true.
This doesn't mean I only photograph "beautiful" people. What it means is, "Every person is beautiful."
When I first started, my sessions were marked by awkward poses and forced smiles. Like many beginners, I focused on technicalities without fully grasping the essence of what makes a portrait truly captivating.
Over time I began to understand that photography isn’t just about creating a visually appealing photo. It’s about seeing into a person, drawing out their essence, and capturing it in a still image. At least, that's the approach I take.
This realization has profoundly impacted how I approach my work. I no longer see myself as someone who sells photos.
Instead, I offer an experience that brings out something deep and real in my clients, something that resonates with themselves and others.
The beauty I find in each person isn’t superficial. It’s in those genuine interactions, those moments of real human connection, that true beauty is revealed.
In every session, I am reminded of the incredible responsibility and privilege it is to photograph another human being.
It’s a gift to be able to see and capture their essence, to provide them with an image that truly represents who they are. This journey has been one of growth, learning, and profound human connection. And it’s a journey I’m grateful to continue every day.
