On the other side of State Street from our Studio Gallery on East Home Street is the home of the dear Benjamin Hanby Family (yes, Ben wrote "Up On The Housetop" amongst many other songs . . . and their home and gardens have been kept to peruse and yet enjoy what it was like in yesteryear. Brian Shindle and, yours truly, Judith Shindle are in a building which housed the old Westerville Creamery where all our city's families received their milk products in the early 1900s and later. What a joy to live in the middle of such wonderful history as we open our door every day having been in the same building for over 38 years . . . and enjoying our 40th year in business as Shindle Gallery and Creative Moments Photography & Event Planning. Still loving every day of our lives serving others . . . it's what God made us to do . . . and we continue to be privileged doing it together!

Find this right here in Columbus, Ohio . . . one of THE most incredible places to envision . . . a TOPIARY Park!

🎨 In the middle of downtown Columbus there is a garden unlike any other on earth. The Topiary Park brings a famous painting to life, recreating Georges Seurat's masterpiece A Sunday Afternoon on the Island of La Grande Jatte entirely out of living, sculpted shrubs.

🌳 Wander the sloping lawn and you find dozens of green topiary figures, strolling ladies with parasols, gentlemen, boats on the pond, even a monkey and a dog, all trimmed patiently from boxwood and yew to mirror the pointillist scene in three dimensions. It is the only topiary garden in the world based on a specific painting, and standing inside it feels a bit like stepping into the canvas itself.

✨ It is a wonderfully strange and delightful Ohio roadside stop, the kind of place that rewards curiosity and a slow walk. Public art like this reminds you that beauty can turn up in the most unexpected corners of a city. Have you ever visited the Topiary Park in Columbus, or is it new to you?
