Every busy season I try to shoot a few “just for fun” photo sessions to change things up. This weekend, I went to Birdie Books ┃Uptown’s Independent Bookshop with Evelyn. We pass this book store every day on the way to school but this was our first time actually going inside. It’s the cutest little bookstore and café - it’s has character and surprises around every corner. It also has a huge kids section. Go check it out. 📚 Now back to editing all my August photos. 😊📸

FLOWER FUN 🌸📸🌸 These photos were part of a full family session but the sister shots were so fun and cute they deserved their own post. Moments like this is why I refer to your photo session as an experience. It’s not just poses — you’re going to interact, have fun and share lots of smiles and laughter. 🌸 Flower field sessions are currently sold out but there is a waitlist. If the weather cooperates and I don’t need the time slots I held for rainy day reschedules, I will have room for a few more families next Wednesday and Sunday. There’s also a second field that might bloom in October.🤞☀️🤞

What’s your favorite place to watch the sunset? 🌅
My camera roll is overflowing with golden hour moments - from walks along the beach to mountain peaks. There’s something mesmerizing about watching clear blue skies slowly melt into soft washes of orange and pink, wrapping everything in a warm, glowing haze… and if you linger just a little longer, that glow quietly fades into gentle blues and purples as the moon begins its slow rise. It never gets old and I’m so lucky it’s my job. ✨

When’s the last time you watched the sunset from the top of a mountain? 🩵 With adventure sessions, think of your photo session as an excursion and your tour guide just happens to be a photographer. And the best part? You’ll go home with much more than pretty pictures - you’ll go home with memories that will last a lifetime! These sessions have a relaxed pace so you can pause to enjoy the views and soak in the atmosphere. 🩵 For this session, we spent nearly two hours exploring four different parts of the mountain. We shot amongst the tall pines just before sunset, in a golden meadow and in the rock garden during sunset, and then at the very peak of the mountains after the sun went down. We were the only people at the peak when we captured these shots and the sense of solitude combined with the views was incredible. 🩵

15 human years = 105 dog years! 🐶🐶🐶 This pup (Roxi) and her family have made 15 years of memories together and I just love that they included her in their photo session. Roxi even wanted in on the snuggle shots and even smiled for the camera. Your fur babies are always welcome to join your session. Just be sure you let me know ahead of time so we plan a location that’s dog friendly. 🤍

Who’s ready for summer, sunshine and smiles? Summer nights will be here before you know it. I’m so excited for another summer full of sunset sessions. 🤍 While I shoot a lot in Dublin, Powell, Lewis Center, Westerville and New Albany, I have several new locations for you this year. Delaware, Hilliard, Plain City and Galena are in the list so far. 🤍
