Hey all! Just dropping in to let yal know that I’m accepting appointments for the 2025/2026 school year. Senior sessions are into full swing and I have some new locations to offer! LOVING The Franklinton art district and Bridge park sessions, of course sticking with the classics too. If you have a special area you’d like to explore, I’m game! Summer is here and I’m back from taking a bit of a break from Rotator cuff surgery! I’ve had a busy spring photographing graduates and families, I’m now ready to take on graduating Seniors!

Summer is a great time to get Senior Sessions scheduled as there’s a lot less to work around with schedules and is also a little more relaxed and easy going. I’m shooting ALL day on Monday and Friday and filling in times during the weeknights and weekends. Morning sessions and the lighting Is ever so dreamy and magical 😍. Don’t let those pinterest articles push you totally Into the direction of the “golden hour” time frame. Daytime can be just as beautiful and captivating.

Hey everybody! Some of you have messaged asking if I’m still doing sessions, the answer is yes! Many of you know that I have landed a great job during the day, doing something very different from photography and I love it! My love for photography is strong and I’m still photographing many beautiful faces 😉

Remember, Summertime sessions are sooooooo glorious so don’t be afraid to schedule. Your options for getting a day that works are almost fool proof in the summer months. Fall gets crazy with school schedules and the majority of people wanting fall pictures.. If you have always wanted to switch things up from your fall shoot, don’t be afraid to try it! Summer light is magical and beautiful.

Beautiful day for some sessions by the pines. The smell is simply amazing. Even if you aren’t interested in the “Christmas theme”, it’s a great spot for some timeless photos. Looks like it’s going to be a beautiful week here so if you are wanting a small shoot for those Christmas cards, let me know. Pricing based individually as some may need a longer time frame than others. Prices starting at $150 for the basic session of 15 minutes.

Me the past 2 weeks:

8:00 a.m. gloomy skies, sun is popping through. Weather app 1, great afternoon for sessions, app 2-%50 showers around 3. I’ll take it.

10:00 a.m.-beautiful hour for a shoot, however, none are scheduled. Going to edit

12:00 skies are getting dark, unexpected sprinkle. Hopefully it dries out before my sessions this afternoon. Adjusting possible locations and poses since nobody wants to be in a bed of wet leaves… weather app now shows %70 chance at 3:00 pm

1:00- pouring. Ok, weather apps did NOT say this was happening . Text client “hey, I’m not sure what’s going The with the weather, can we make a call here in about 45 minutes, gives me a better look at the radar.

1:30- completely beautiful, wet and cool but beautiful. Text client “hey, I can’t believe this weather but it’s nice here so we are on, app actually says TOTALLY clear through 5. See you in an hour and a half”

2:15- maybe I made that call too early because it’s sprinkling again, but they have a 40 minute drive so I guess we do it and hope for the best. There’s a pavilion near by so rain or shine. Have to rethink poses again now that the pavilion is going to be the rain option.

3:00- client shows up. Looks like the app officially has no clue what’s happening. According to the radar, looks like something is coming through around 3:15. Let’s shoot out from under the pavilion and go to the pavilion if needed.

3:06- A wedding party walks to the pavilion (pavilion is first come first serve) Looks like we no longer have access to the pavilion as they’re setting up speakers and mics. Officially not my bubbly self and somewhat panicking.

3:15- Weather app was finally right and we are doomed through 6:00. It’s raining, pouring actually. Wedding party is dry under that pavilion (happy for them ). Sorry guys, I cannot photograph in the rain with my equipment. There aren’t any other options here. We are going to have to come back. *everybody goes home*.

3:18-in my car texting my next 2 sessions that we are cancelling because the skies now look like an episode from men in black. No way we are recovering from this.

3:40- driving home, thinking through my schedule for the week and how I’m going to rearrange everything. Sun pokes through the clouds and is completely sunshine by the time I get home.

I don’t text my clients that I just cancelled with because the weather app still says rain.

6:00-didn’t rain from 3:40 on like the weather app showed. 🤦🏻‍♀️
