I never intended to take a long social media break, but sometimes life has other plans. The holiday photo season was busy, and it was wonderful to see returning clients and meet so many new ones. I threw myself into putting out great results for my clients instead of updating my social media feeds. But right before the holidays, everything came to a grinding hault. I've had an autoimmune disease since I was a teenager, and usually, it is managed pretty well. Unfortunately, I recently had major setbacks, landed in the hospital, and have been recovering far slower than expected. I'd been growing sicker throughout the fall, but genuinely thought I'd be able to power through, not realizing quite how sick I really was. Thankfully, I've been making larger gains recently and am back to booking clients, but illness made my holiday season hard. Nonetheless, I made sure my kids felt the magic of the season. So here is a photodump of a little bit of holidays, because I so infrequently share my life, despite you all sharing yours with me! The last two pictures are a bit of a bonus that you'll almost never see on my feed; many of you know I'm also a neuroscientist, so as proof, here I am with a brain. It is a rare cell phone picture, since as a photographer, I pride myself on working with sophisticated tech... but it was an impromptu moment. The other is a picture of me with my family; the first time in forever, we've done actually family photos. Again, you share so much of your life... so this is a bit of my own. was nice enough to help with the camera work, then let me edit the results. I'm so grateful to have had the opportunity to work with such an awesome fellow photographer!
Here's to an amazing 2025, and thank you all for making the prior year so amazing!
