Did you know I remember something about every person I photograph?
Not just your name or what you wore — but the feeling you brought to the session.
This was one of my very first sessions and these two were so fun! Their playfulness, laughter & willingness to let me direct them while I was still learning, has always stuck with me! I remember Devin had hurt his back shortly before the session and wasn't sure if he could give Jayma a piggyback ride or not (which he did wonderfully) and I also vividly remember the smell of Jayma's perfume!☺️
And it's the same for all of my clients! I remember how your son reached for your hand the moment you knelt beside him. How you and your partner couldn’t stop laughing during what was supposed to be a “serious” pose. I remember the little girl who spun in circles the entire session, the little boy who proudly showed me every rock he found, and the siblings who couldn't stop giggling together. I remember how excited you were for your wedding and how that joy was showing in every photo! I remember the way you kept apologizing for your child not cooperating for photos and how I reassured you it wasn't a problem at all and how I would still get some cute ones even if it means chasing after them!
For me, it’s always more than just photos. Each session holds stories, emotions, and connections. I never forget a single client — long after the session ends, I often find myself wondering how you’re doing, rooting for you, and hoping life is treating you well!
My clients are never just names on a calendar. They are real people with unique stories, personalities, and moments that matter. And for a moment in time, I get to hold that.
So yes — I remember you.
Not just as a photo, but as a feeling.
