On Friday morning at 6:00 a.m. I loaded my boys up and we headed to Fredericktown. The boys got to go hang out with Aunt Bobette and Emily and I geared up to hiked down to Millstream Garden. We scouted out the location Caleb had chosen for the proposal and attempted to find the most suitable hiding spots. I was in a ball covered in leaves, while Emily was nestled between two large rocks.
As their voices got closer, we tried to be as still as possible. I felt like I was hiding in plain sight, and any movement would instantly attract her attention. However, she did not notice me until she began to walk away, at which point Caleb pointed me out and said, "Isn't that your cousin?" To lure her back to the rock😂🤦🏼‍♀️
At that moment, I jumped out with my camera, and he knelt to the ground. She immediately began sobbing and was so overcome with emotion that she didn't even ask for the ring. I am so grateful I got to be apart of this special day and can't wait to see the life Caleb and Brooke will build together.
