A new photo shoot for my amazing client/newbff Dawn Tyree. She's working hard with Unchained At Last and The National Coalition to End Child Marriage in the United States to do just that. Married off at age 13 to her 32 year old ra**st, she got indentured and he got wedding presents instead of handcuffs. Other girls were married as young as 10 years old. It's still legal in 48 states to marry under the age of 18 and Dawn is part of a movement to change laws, one state at a time, by bringing awareness to this awful -- and current -- human rights issue. I'm honored that my photography is just a small piece of this important work.
