Outdoor or studio photo shoot? I love creating pictures on location. I feel like I can express myself better, tell a story. But I’ve seen some incredible and creative portraits shot in studio! Which one do you prefer?

This was supposed to be a photo shoot with our 16-year old cat. But he decided to take a nap on Keira’s lap, and not play with yarn as we had agreed. After trying and trying, I decided to let the tired cat go to finish his nap, and Keira continued playing with the yarn without him. And here’s the result. Voila! That’s the whole story 😉

In this post I thought I would share some tricks I’m using to create my portfolio. How my feed looks on Instagram is very important to me. So, I started using an app called “Preview”. It has many useful features, but what I like most is that I can preview my posts before uploading them to Instagram. I can place and move around each picture where it coordinates the best with the color or pose of the previous one and build it from there.
I had several pictures that I couldn’t figure out how to fit into the feed so that I liked how it looked. I have such a busy schedule I can’t take as many new photos as I would like, so I decided to look through my older photo shoots. I found this portrait of Keira, which I thought would be a perfect transition to my next post, which I can’t wait to share with you.
This is not a paid post. I truly wanted to share some useful information with you 😊❤️

I had such an amazing week in Las Vegas with my family! It was like a dream. Since 2019, we focused on work, school, and health. We didn’t travel and kept mostly to ourselves. This trip, however, proved that if you want something different you’ve got to try something different. This trip recharged me as a wife, a mother, and a photographer. Even the small things make a world of difference.
