Not gonna lie, I was worried this styled shoot would get canceled too. But the rain made it so much better!!!

Unless you’re secretly a mermaid like Cleo from h2o and will grow a tail if you get wet… 🧜‍♀️👀 Rain during your photoshoot can be so fun!

The weather plays such a huge role and how your pictures turn out. Rain gives off an extra level of moody cinematic that is hard to replicate on the sunny day. Which makes your photos extra unique

As a 2025 bride that got married on a SUPER tight budget, I promise photography is not one of the things to skimp out on. Sure you could have a family member or friend do it for cheap, but hear me out…

They don’t get to enjoy your wedding. Yes they attend everything and hopefully have a good attitude, but they’re working. They don’t get to be a guest. They’re not gonna be in your group pictures.

Plus without a contract there’s a lot of room for error and miscommunication

Once the party is over, the excitement dies down, and the years flyby, your photos will be one of the last things you have from your special day. Make sure they’re good quality and accurately depict your love story

Your first look should be calm & intentional, not a quick glance before your big temple exit

Do your first look BEFORE the sealing. Whether it’s a week before or 2 hours before 👀 Personally, I love doing them a week before. But I know that’s not always feasible between dress alterations, makeup, and hair stylists

💍 When you get sealed at an LDS temple, they require you to come 60 minutes early to sign marriage licenses and walk you through the process. That’s why I say do bridals 2 hours before your scheduled sealing time

🙌 That way you only have to get “bridal ready” once but your formal pictures are still separate from family pictures

🫶 After your sealing, there won’t be many opportunities (if any) for you and your new spouse to be in the moment, without the eyes of your guests fixated on you

🤷‍♀️ Sure you can do bridal sessions after family pictures, but hear me out. You’ve already spent an hour standing in the heat, your jaw is tired of smiling, and you’re ready to get onto the next event. If you stay another hour for bridal photos, that loss of motivation will show in your pictures. Your smile won’t be as genuine, you’ll be frustrated with your heavy outfits and that’s not the kind of picture you want hanging on your wall for the next 70 years
