Like so many people from an older generation in Burmese culture, this couple posed for me as if they were in a police line up, so it was pure magic when I was able to make her laugh and even better when she reached for his hand in an unusual display of public affection.

Ran into Dennys Ilic at the Leica Store and spent time talking about his experience with the Leica Q3. His relationship to the camera is thoughtful and lived-in, and it reminded me how certain tools stay with you over time.

Leica has been part of my life for decades. I’m noticing that familiar pull again.

Grateful for generous conversations and shared curiosity.

Urgent call to action: we need you here.
Avner Gvaryahu, our former Executive Director with a powerful and important Op-ed on Haaretz:

"For those of us witnessing the unfolding catastrophe in Palestine, the past years have delivered blow after devastating blow. Gaza lies in ruins, its population decimated by relentless bombardment. The West Bank faces an unprecedented surge in settler violence and military raids. Israel's plans for E1 construction threaten to sever Palestinian communities entirely from one another.

Each loss compounds those from before, suffocating any hopes of remedy. Yet surrendering means abandoning these communities entirely. It means forsaking the potential for transformation. It means giving up on ourselves.

We need you, our fellow Jews from abroad. We need you to leverage your privilege as Jews to help us resist the advance of fascism and racism."

"If [he has us] showing up at their place of employment, then it was never about them not working.

If [he has us] showing up at courthouses, it was never about getting them to do it the right way. If you're kidnapping women and children, it was never about criminals.

If [he has us] not giving them due process, it was never about the Constitution. And if you're spending billions of dollars to do it, it was never about the economy.

AND... if [he has us] doing all of this in the name of a 34-time convicted felon, then it was never about following the law." 😔
