When we brought our daughter, my first born, home from the hospital our home was still in the ‘unpacking’ stage. We didn’t have any curtains on the windows (a fishbowl of sorts), we were sitting on our used Craigslist couch and, other than the nursery, there really wasn’t much in the way of furniture or decor. I naively thought that I would work on the home during my maternity leave (wow was I wrong on that one). When I look back on photos of that time, I am reminded of our simple and humble beginnings. The ‘where it all started’ phase. I look back at that time with so much love in my heart for who we were then and who we’ve grown to be.

My hope is that the photos from these simple, honest, in-home newborn sessions will always bring you back to this very special time in your lives. Your beginning or maybe the middle of your story, it doesn’t really matter, but it’s where you are now and I’m willing to bet that in just a few short months it will feel like forever ago.
