Dear Clients, Friends, and Family,

After much reflection and with a heavy heart, I have made the difficult decision to close Jennifer Barrer Photography. This choice has not come easily, but due to personal, it feels like the right path for me to take at this time. While I am deeply saddened to take this step, I believe it is necessary to focus on my well-being and personal journey.

Over the years, I have had the privilege of capturing so many beautiful moments—from the joyous celebrations to the tender smiles of newborns. Each click of the camera has not only been a job but a deeply personal experience, sharing in the lives of so many wonderful people. For that, I am profoundly grateful.

To my clients, thank you for trusting me with your most cherished memories. It has been an honor to witness and capture your stories through my lens. To my friends and family who have, your unwavering support and encouragement have been a source of strength for me, and I am deeply appreciative of your love and belief in my work.

Although Jennifer Barrer Photography will no longer operate as a business, my love for photography remains unchanged. I will continue to take pictures, but now it will be purely for the joy of capturing life's moments and sharing them with those closest to me.

I am so thankful for the community we've built, the friendships we've formed, and the memories we've created together. Please know that this decision does not mark an end but rather a new chapter. I hope our paths cross again, whether in front of my camera or in life.

This is my first in the series.
#1 Collateral Damage

I’ve made myself sick, wondering what it was I did wrong but I’ve realized that…

Although super unfortunate and sad, sometimes we’re just the collateral damage in someone else’s coverup and inner war against themselves.

Just as in life, also in photography, feelings come from within. They represent attitude, state of mind, they communicate a message. Photography is all about evoking feelings and emotions. Powerful imagery sends emotional messages even when no words are being expressed. They can be hidden and obscure, or specific and obvious. They flow right on the surface of a photograph, slapping you across the face, or swim below, awaiting discovery.

As an artist, there is hardly anything more satisfactory than producing an emotional piece of art.

Describing the importance is easy. Searching for their origin is hard.
