Congrats Isabella!

SCAC is pleased to spotlight Isabella Branham. As SCAC’s research associate, Isabella supports county council members and county staff by providing information and resources to help them effectively govern and lead their counties. Some of her responsibilities include producing the association’s Wage and Salary Report; South Carolina Property Tax Rates by County; and County Profiles, a compilation of demographic, economic, and county finance and employment data for all 46 counties.

In Isabella’s short time with the association, she has quickly proved to be a valuable team player. She is eager to learn and has engaged in a wide range of research concerns to assist county officials. Her colleagues are happy she has joined the team and know that she has a bright future with the association.

Isabella developed a passion for political and governmental affairs during her undergraduate work at the University of Virginia’s College at Wise where she earned a bachelor’s degree in political science. She recently completed her Master of Public Administration degree from the University of South Carolina and is excited to begin her career at SCAC. When asked what she enjoys most about her job, Isabella says, “I really enjoy staying up to date about various county projects and ways counties are giving back and helping their communities. It is very rewarding knowing that I am part of a bigger picture, supporting local governments as they push for strong, thriving communities and to innovate growth and change across South Carolina.”
